Product Description

Engineered for pure climbing and inspired by Curbar’s fierce reputation for wild and exposed gritstone, stiff routes and fierce highballs (think Finger Distance: V4 or E3 6b), this lightweight, low-bulk insulated men’s jacket has a ripstop, wind and water-resistant shell with abrasion-resistant reinforcements. This is a technical construction that gives you maximum freedom of movement, such as unrestricted armlift for high slopers, all with understated British styling. Designed at the Wild Country base, deep in the heart of one of the UK’s most famous climbing areas: the Peak District. Engineered for pure climbing, the Curbar Jacket is inspired by bold leads and committing headpoints. It provides robust and reliable weather protection, outstanding mobility that moves with you and ensures unrestricted arm-lift, including when it’s tucked under a harness. The men’s 3-layer, abrasion-resistant technical shell fabric is durably waterproof, windproof and extremely breathable; ideal for keeping out the elements on cold walk-ins, exposed belays and wild and windy days from the Eastern Edges to sea cliffs, Scottish winter or big walls around the world. This jacket is a limited edition. Only 150 available. At WILD COUNTRY we try our best to soften the environmental impact within everything we do. The Curbar Jacket is composed of high-performance upcycled leftover material to create new products and reduce clothing and textile waste. We use WildWool Celliant®, an innovative synthetic hybrid insulation that reflects radiant heat. It’s made from a blend of 40% natural wool and 60% Celliant® – a special synthetic material enhanced with minerals that recycle radiant body heat by storing and reflecting it back to the body. This means it also carries on working in static situations, so it’s ideal for cold, windy days and exposed belays. Perfect for Curbar, then – the Cloggy of the Peak. It has two cunning inner pockets, large enough to warm your shoes up or keep the guidebook dry and harness-compatible outer pockets.
